Also known as a washstand jug or toilet jug. The ewer has an ovoid body resting on a small, low pedestal foot, with a broad pouring spout and a flattened handle.
White ground decorated in polychrome enamels and gold with flowering scrolls, palmettes in the style of Salembier, and a mauve-ground band adorned with leafy garlands. Gilt leaves and dots decorate the body and pouring spout, while gilt bands emphasise the borders.
